A Thomas Tale...

Cory and Alissa met in the Fall of 2023 when they both were about to close the door on love. What began as a polite exchange turned into an hours-long conversation filled with laughter, shared dreams, and a surprising sense of ease. By the time they parted ways, they both felt something they hadn’t in years—hope. Neither was ready to admit it, but they couldn’t stop thinking about the other.&nbsp; Their connection deepened quickly, fueled by a shared curiosity and a mutual desire to make the most of life. Their first date was at main event- and Cory cheated on all the games. That night their true Taurus character showed as they were very competitive. Every experience shared together became a memory, a small piece of the foundation they were building together.&nbsp; New Years 2023, they went to Atlanta and the trip became another chapter in their growing story. On New Year’s Eve, surrounded by close friends, Cory knew he no longer wanted the moment to just be a chapter; he wanted it to be the story. As the New Year countdown began, Cory asked Alissa to be his girlfriend. As the ball dropped, they sealed their promise with a kiss, ready to face whatever the future held—together. As 2024 unfolded, Cory and Alissa’s love deepened with every shared experience and quiet moment in between. They continued to explore life together, balancing adventures with the simple joys of everyday life, from cozy nights in to discovering new favorite spots around town, and supporting each other’s coaching careers. In October, the couple traveled to Canada for an unforgettable birthday trip, redeeming the Usher concert tickets he had gifted her months earlier. But the pinnacle of the trip came Saturday when they went on a Niagara Falls tour. After walking up a hill and many steps, they would finally make it to the CN Tower, where they looked out at the beautiful view of Niagara Falls. As Alissa was looking out into the Falls after Cory said, “Look over there babe”, Cory knelt down behind her. When she finally realized nothing was “over there” she turned around to Cory on one knee. With a steady voice but full of emotion, Cory expressed his love and desire to be with Alissa forever. Overwhelmed with joy, Alissa tearfully said yes! Sealing the moment with a kiss was the perfect culmination of their love story…#AThomasTale
